this track has been a favorite of mine for some time. if you haven’t, check out “uness” on youtube or imeem, his music is crazy good. anyway, about a year ago i really fell for a wonderful girl. i was stupid and things didn’t exactly work out. but just as that door was closing, another opened with an equally beautiful young lady. i rushed into it headstrong, not considering how this new girl was young, still needed to learn quite a bit. it’s funny, whenever i heard “woman got culture” last summer i immediately thought of the first woman. listening to the same song now, after splitting with my most recent girlfriend, i see how little those lyrics apply. and that’s really why things didn’t work.
she was a wonderful person in many aspects, but i don’t know how i can be in a relationship with someone who struggles with my creativity and intelligence. i love the part about how looking for “the man who will teach her”. it’s hard to do that if you require the spotlight and attention full time, even if your partner has so very much to give. anyway, long story short…
the next woman i date. she better have culture.
